Excimer

308 Excimer is a handheld system for intense monochromatic UVB therapy. The wavelength of 308 nm is ideal for the treatment of a wide range of inflammatory conditions of the skin. The advantage of the 308 excimer is that one can deliver high doses of UVB light to localized areas in diseases like vitiligo and psoriasis without affecting normal uninvolved skin. This translates into fewer sessions than whole body narrow band UVB therapy to clear disease.

Indications

• Thick areas of psoriasis on elbows and knees

• Prurigo (intensely bumps on the skin)
